
George Sawin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Substance Abuse Professional, specializing in working with Men, Teenaged Boys, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples as well as EMDR while maintaining a small private practice in Wellesley MA.
With experience as a marriage therapist, and as a graduate of Boston College, George emphasizes a solution focused therapy and often employs EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Christian and spiritual counseling and Enneagram personality work, in his practice. He is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are relationships, work place issues, parenting, men's issues, older teen-aged boys, spirituality and Christian counseling, ACOA and family substance abuse.
In addition to being an experienced relationship therapist, George has presented at many municipal police departments and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Resiliency, Substance Abuse and the Enneagram. His clients find him to be a warm, welcoming and interactive therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.
